Welcome to the Hunts Point Clean Trucks Program!

Thank you to all our Hunts Point Clean Trucks Program (HPCTP) applicants, awardees, vendors and stakeholders! Your participation in the HPCTP has resulted in the successful submittal of applications for Round 4 funding to replace 100 older trucks. Upon distribution of the Round 4 funding, the HPCTP will have replaced, retrofitted or scrapped over 600 older heavy polluting diesel trucks from the South Bronx and New York City (NYC). As of August 2017, the HPCTP will continue to accept complete applications in the event that future program funding becomes available.

The HPCTP incentive rebate funding is for the South Bronx business communities of Hunts Point and Port Morris interested in the replacement of older Class 3 to Class 8 trucks with a model year 2016 or newer truck with a 2010 U.S. EPA emission compliant or newer diesel engine or alternative fuel engine (hybrid diesel-electric, compressed natural gas or battery electric truck).

The New York City Department of Transportation (NYCDOT) is seeking additional funding for the HPCTP. We will continue to update the website as information becomes available regarding any additional rebate incentive funding under the HPCTP.

Hunts Point 500 Clean Trucks Milestone - NYCDOT

On December 3, 2015, we marked an exciting Hunts Point Clean Trucks Program milestone, celebrating 500 clean trucks on the road. The HPCTP replaced 500 older heavy-polluting diesel trucks with 2010 EPA emission compliant diesel-hybrid, compressed natural gas, and diesel Class 3 to Class 8 trucks. The 500 new trucks have resulted in significant environmental benefits by helping to improve the air quality in the South Bronx.
